Hey guys. I'm finally going to have my first film session tomorrow for what will hopefully be a funny video for funnyordie, youtube, vimeo, etc. I've got the HMC40, NTG-2, a rode 10' boompole, sm3 shockmount, xlr adapter, and feel like I'm good to go.
This is going to be like a 3 minute video filmed primarily in my house. First off, any recommendations on what camera settings/record format I should film this on. Unfortunately the ntg-2 is the only mic I have. I've heard its bad to use a shotgun mic indoors but it's all I've got. I'm assuming mounting it on the boompole will be better than on top of the camera?
Any tips you guys have is more than appreciated. This is my first shot at filming so I'm a clean slate (aka don't know crap). Thanks
