First tests with the hvx

I had just received the hvx and had to travel to Florida for business, needless to say I had no experience whatsoever with the cam and this was the first time I took it out for a test ride. A few shots were a little out of focus thanks to the lcd.

great composition. but why does the quality look low. it was also blurry.

sorry for being judgemental but I wanted to bring it up because no one else did. And because I am also curious.

The quality is low due to compression issues, I'm yet to figure out the best way to render for the net. I have quicktime pro which for some reason won't work on my vista ops. As for the blur... some shots were just plain out of focus. This was the very first time I was using the hvx and ofcourse the lcd plus run & gun style shooting didn't make it any easier. That vidoe was shot just two days after getting the cam and before reading both the manual + Barrry's book, so I was just using my basic knowledge to figure out the functionality of the cam.
 
Oh, I need a vacation. Very enjoyable to watch while I should be working! That electronic harp looked pretty sweet!
