just got my dvx and i'm in love with it. here are some grabs from my first tape. pretty much raw footage. i did some subtle color correction on some of them but that's it. i'm totally new to making movies. i'm an audio guy by trade so any tips are appreciated.

Way to make your DVX shine. What settings did you use for these?

scene file #6, everything at 0 or whatever factory settings are except for the last two which i pumped the contrast up a bit and used the black press gamma, sunset shot used slow shutter with the ND on and the iris on auto. the sun was just about down at that point and the slow shutter made the image much more colorful than it was to the naked eye. the shots with the fly were spur of the moment so i had to hand-hold. if you watch the footage you'll see it's a little jumpy. i had the iris open and the zoom at 99.

the only thing i did to the stuff in FCP was correct the black/white levels and turn the saturation up a tiny bit on some of them. this camera does such a great job on it's own.....

The first few pictures have too much space at the bottom. Space with nothing.

They are great though.

Keep at it!
