Hi all,
I attached a link earlier in the week on this forum about my first ever production which I used the GH1 (unhacked) to shoot.
I received some replies with very good advice and tips but I can't seem to find the topic now to see if there are any further replies.
Anyway, here's the link of my first ever short film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0SrEA4yHW8
I must remind all that this was shot very quickly (all shot in 2 hours) with a rushed time table so therefore I didn't have time to test different ISO settings, aperture settings and lighting, etc.
I did receive some positive comments in my previous post (which I now can't find) that I left to much head room in a lot of shots and that I didn't fill the frame properly. I probably should have gone for more close up shots too.
It was also mention that the coloured scenes were too dark and the black and white shots were a little too contrasty. For the coloured scene I was going for the look of a dimly lit room and I tried to play around between the ISO settings and the room light (which had a dimmer switch) to get the right effect. As for the B/W shots, what does too contrasty mean?
I am totally new to filmmaking and learning the various shot types like wide, close-ups and medium shots which are all new to me. I know I have to learn more about filling the frame too.
I would be grateful if you can take a look at it and I'd appreciate any positive comments, advice and tips.
