Note: I filmed all of this by myself other then a shot of me running, my sister shot it.

I took a film class in the 8th grade and I really enjoyed making movies, I saved up and bought myself an inexpensive Sony DCR HC38. I've made alot of movies but I decided to make a short film. I hope you enjoy, it was my first ever.

The movie is about a guy who gave confidential folders to a co-worker of his when his boss told him not to give them to anyone. What will the boss do when he finds out his worker gave someone the important folders?

Cult hit!

I know what its like to have had no one else to help make a movie. Keep at it! Good effort. :) and fun!

Thanks Nic =) Yeah it's tough especially because you can't have 2 people talking to each other in the same frame without talking to an invisible body 2 times.

np. :)

Dont get discouraged, i dont think you will though, effort and tenacity pays off for sure. I used to just film myself getting from point A to point B on my skateboard around my neighborhood like 7 or 8 years ago for practice and fun.

I find i had more effort for my own projects when things were simpler

Not bad! A couple of suggestions...

I would film something that suits your age. You can still make an interesting movie about someone your own age. It would seem more real to the viewer.

Problems at school... maybe with your parents, a bully... something that kids your age can relate to. Or.... maybe if you found something very important and then became a target. That would also work and come off as believable.

I liked all the shots that you used. The only big editing glitch was when he arrived at the door and you cut between 2 different angles. If the second angle was drastically different then it may have worked.

Nice work overall. Keep at it! You have a knack for it...

Cheers,

Mike

Hey Mike,

Appreciate the suggestions, I should probably lean toward the bully idea because it's hard dressing up older. Yeah there was that glitch, I don't know why I filmed 2 takes of that but thanks for the suggestions, I'll take them into consideration when writing the next script :)

Keep it up, Justin.

Good use of what you have available, which is time and your own efforts.

No problem. I'm looking forward to your next short.

BTW, you could disguise your counterpart in shadow and distort his voice. Then you could play 2 roles, but one of them would seem quite different and mysterious.

Good luck!

Mike
