First Scarlet footage

Considering this was more about the new AF I'm happy they gave us a little nod by filming it with a fixed 2/3' scarlet. I've waited this long I can wait longer, it's not like they are not working on this stuff. I can understand them being hesitant to release stuff these days with the irrational reactions they have been getting from certain groups in the community.

I commend Red for what they have done for digital cinema, but I am sooo over them. Thank god- I was sick of hanging on to every word from Mr. Jannard and the endless speculation on Reduser. Whenever this cam is released I'm sure it will be the bees knees, but there are so many other affordable tools that are producing incredible imagery. Again, this is not a dig on Red- they are holding off to make the best camera in their eyes, and from the films I have seen shot on Red ONE- the footage is incredible. Just my excitement over Scarlet is about 1/16th of what it used to be.

Very true so why be over it? I shoot with other cameras and I'm looking at other cameras soon to be released what is with all this red hatred and red being a fad that you are over I just don't get it. if you are tired of the hype leave it don't comment and when the camera comes out if it is still attractive to you for features and specs you will use and if it is the best camera for you at the time buy it then. It's all about possibilities and having options and I can't understand when people knock this camera or that when we all benefit from having them out there and having the choice to choose between multiple cameras.

If red pushes canon and panny to make a better camera then I'm all for it, or if they push red to release early fine, or heck even if they start taking little ideas from each other, redmote, goal posts, 4/3 mount, pro res out, who knows all I know is the more competition the better for us so why get upset over it.

well have a good one, if you don't like red move on and forget it but remember you may just benifit from it's existance.

see- I didn't want this to become a grudge match. I'm not digging Red. I made some adjustments to my post because Red people can be kind of sensitive (I guess I should have know better). Let me clarify- it's the waiting I am over, not the camera. When it is released, I will check it out like everyone else.
 
Sorry yeah i noticed after i typed that that it seemed like I was picking a fight, I apologize for that, I was more replying to the "I'm over it" mentality.
 
I also like the effect they have on the other companies! If their AF and digital follow focus really works, they really set a standard. But I doubt it will be soon and for the announced price or without bugs ( which will be fixed later)

plus a single 2/3" sensor...
