Hi,
I stumbled upon this forum searching for info about the Sony ex1 and ex3 and was delighted to see the D90 forum. I am a photographer and started to play with video on my D90. I would appreciate your feedback and critique, since video is very new for me and I have a lot to learn.
all my videos (5 so far) are very short 60sec to 120sec and can be found here

thanks for looking
cheers,

I've always liked your stuff through Vimeo. The only thing that looks strange too me is the effect on "The Wild Bunch" and "Breathless".

thanks Ruzo! not sure exactly what you are referring to, i assume the remapping, the jerkiness? there are a few things I am not happy with yet and thats one of them, any tips would be appreciated. currently using fcp - no plugins...

Love the videos, very cool, nice breathless homage.

Edit: Great still images as well!

If you did not add some kind of grain then it must be noise caused by high ISO or maybe compression artifacts, or both. The other clips look much better. There are some forum links (like the ones pointed by mrmoe) that show how to control the ISO. Shooting with nothing else then fast prime lenses also helps sometimes. You certainly don't lack in style :)

...Actually you seem to have a lot of "blockiness" in both clips and a lot of noise in "Breathless". I don't use FCP and I'm also new at this so a guy like Matt (user mattsand) might offer much more help.

Thanks guys! and for the links, will def check it out, and yeah, I did add a lot of grain to the Breathless clip to get that vintage look....

I have a question for you D90 lovers, has anyone any information on the mirror lenses from Bower 500mm or 800mm I have Nikor and Nikon lens and want to try other less expensive lens before I spend $$$$

I am also a D90 owner/lover I am having a ball with my camera shooting stills.

Thanks

pvl2, keep in mind the 500mm will be 750mm, very hard to get a sharp shot, you will need a killer tripod but for the price, you could give it a shot, check their return policy and keep in mind it will only work in manual mode
