First Music Video

wow man, that was,, no joke, a very beautiful video for the style of song.

EXTREMELY good, especially for your first music video.

its very rare that i feel something emotionally from videos on this board butyou touched me on the inside.

Thanks a lot, PaPa. It was a difficult video because it was such an emotional song and trying to capture that was tricky. I just wanted the video to compliment the song. Thanks again.

Yes, you could say it entered the DVXuser walk of fame.
Since it's a country music, the set was right for the song.

Great Job for your very first music video.

Wow, I really liked it! What is the name of the artist who did the song?

Great job, keep us posted on your next project :)

Also link didn't have an underscore between "music" and "video" that's why it didn't work for you rcbrown23 just copy it and put in your own.

GREAT video, man!

GREAT video, man!

Good job, Hurley. One of the better ones I've seen posted. Video matches the mood of the song well.

I just finished my first music video. DVX100, Kessler Crane, reflector, lights & finished in FCP. I'd love to hear what some of you think, good or bad. Its a slow song so it starts kinda slow but I feel the best stuff is as the song picks up, try to hang in there.

That should work now but if that doesn't work, try this link:

In Louisiana we certainly like the country music...and all other styles too. I really liked what you did with this. The little boy was great...the lighting seemed a little off in parts...but, could be your editing choices too...not sure...the only thing that kept bugging me was not the video...but the recording mix of the lead vocal...it sounded very 'tin-ish'...like a bad mic was used or the final mix was a little heavy on the mids or highs, etc... if the soundtrack could be beefed up in dynamic quality, I think the overall impact of the video itself would be greatly enhanced.

Cool job man.

I can't think of a thing I'd change. It was emotionally, technically and artistically superb. Wonderful song, great shooting and editing and very good acting.

i think that was the compression. it had artifacts which sound tinny.

my prob with the song is that it was boring. it didn't move fast enough. too much space between lines in the pre-chorus and the chorus itself was anti-climactic. very cliche' as all new country is but missing the perfect song formula that nashville uses.

the video was great. that is, the cinematography and editing.

i loved the storyline shots and the storyline itself but the guy's performance didn't do it for me. too bad because the framing and movement were great. i didn't see the emotion of the song in the guy's face. that would have made it so much better. the mom and kid did great. the video looked like anything i would expect to see on cmt minus the not so up to par singer/song. overall, great job!!!

Thought EVERYTHING was great in the video, editing, song, performances by all, wouldn't change a thing. Highly emotional and very moving piece.

I think it's on par with the stuff I see on CMT.

Best Of Luck!
