First Music Video

I really liked it, for being a 0 budget music video. I know how those are :undecided

Was this dvx footage? What was the framerate? I thought one of the shots of a someone dancing with the sun behind them looked a lot like Rize, DV style.

WMV don't work great on the MAc. Did you post this on be-mag also?
 
thx i saw some of your vids and i loved the mic styles ft esoteric vid.

yeah it's all dvx. for some of the shots (most of the shots in the skatepark) i used the max shutter setting 1/10000. we did make a couple of mistakes which ended up in a bit of a messy video but at least i've learned some things for next time.

I haven't posted it on be-mag i don't know what that is. i gues it's another site ?

i'll try and convert one to quicktime as well. in the mean time here's some grabs














 
not bad dude... i haven't seen to many b/w rap videos. One thing bugged me though, just about every take had the rapper in front of the camera. And does he always have to look straight in the camera everytime? To me thats zero orignality for most rap videos.

yeah i agree with what you said. i'd raher have a concept for the video like a little story or something but we didn't have much time. only towards the end did i notice i only had shots like that and we made a take in the dark where he's looking sideways and not into the camera, but i didn't like how that ended up.

but you're right and next time i''l be sure to do it differently.

Ofcourse, I'm from that great country, but it its cool to see a production from Rotterdam were I study.

The musicvideo is better than that horrible music thats in it. The shots without the rapper are good, at the skating hangout and in the city.So keep on the good work.
 
What is that effect that you have in the beginning? its like the lightest spots in the frame gets some kind of light in fog effect.

t-unit ; i used trapcode shine which i usually don't like using. but i also used a basic after effects effect and i think that's the one your talking about. it's called "magnify"

uhrgl ; hahah yeah, for the record it's not me i just made the video. yeah those romanek musicvids are always good :D. used to really dig that janet jackson vid "got 'til it's gone" the whole atmosphere is so good

I liked the vid. "WHATDAYANO, A driveby in The Netherlands" Another unfortunate export of American culture. Well since I told my brothers in FRANCE, GHANA & COTE d'IVOIRE, I'll tell you to tell your peopz. KOOL OUT w/the gang ****, it doesn't make you look cool to be flashin signs. You look idiotic in fact, especially to cats who have experience with the real deal. The skatin and b-boy stuff was great. And can we get off the Romaneck jock??? I love the guy but the guy didn't invent the so-called "look" or style. I'm still pissed at Jigga for his insane comments that a Black director couldn't of done 99 Problems like that, how fukkin dumb is he to think like that??? Matter of fact, a close friend of mine, who came up w/Hype, was supposed to do the vid and got kicked 3 days before the shoot. I guess Paul Hunter can't do Rock videos either Jigga!?! But you, Wesley my friend are looking promising. Nice edit decisions.
 
Life's a racial issue homie, but I wasn't making this a racial issue. I was pointing out how Jigga made one you FOOL by saying a black director couldn't do his video and that he needed someone like Romaneck to do it. Think I'm imagining things talk to me after you sit down with Spike Lee and he tells you all the **** he had to deal with b/c he was black. And for the record asshole, I'm married to a white woman.
