First Music Video

Okay, so this is out of order, my last post was my 2nd music video. This is actually my first music video, but some reason the editing process got put off for months, and I finally got around to finishing it up. This was basically a no no-budget music video, other than for a jib, lights and Redrock M2 adapter. It was filmed all over Hollywood as most locations maket that quite obvious.

Let me know what you think! Enjoy!

Thanks! Well this was done entirely in Final Cut Pro. All standard effects. I don't have any plugins installed haha. So its a lot of composite layers and stacks of effects with keying and masking and whatnot. I created every effect from scratch, I'm not big into doing stock or plugin effects for the most part.

My problem is I'm still trying to get my workflow figured out for music videos since they are so effect intensive. I always have problems trying to send through color then to after effects for compositing because I still get tied up trying to do the different steps in different programs just because of how I edit.

The only thing I don't like about the Final Cut only approach is that it lacks a lot of control that I would otherwise have in other programs, but its hard when I use composites as color correction too. Maybe I'll eliminate Color entirely and use it only for shorts and less effects intensive projects...

I really enjoyed most of the effects. Color at this point in time is not too friendly to multi track edits. I love using it for simple stuff though.
