GH4 First Look: Veydra 85mm T2.2 Mini Prime

About the lens support, I highly suggest only buying the clamp ring from Veydra. The rail-mount part is a little sad, actually. It's plastic and the whole system revolves on that 1/4 thread. Meaning you turn one thing and the entire system loosens up. It works, but it's finicky.

Get something like this so you can actually tighten the block on the rails separately from what tightens the vertical support in place.

The clamp ring is also plastic. I guess that's good so it doesn't scratch the barrels of the lenses, but I was under the impression it was metal.

Or a better idea, get a mattebox with a clamp front AND rail support. Because the Veydra lens support gets in the way of where your follow focus will be. These lenses are just way too small to be cramping so many rail-mounted accessories so close to each other.
