GH4 First Lens Choice.

If you do end up getting either Lumix, make sure you update the firmware on them as there were issues with OIS and AF from the original firmware. I've rented some of them that had older firmware.

You do it through the camera. Put the file on the SD card with the lens you want to flash and hit the playback button on power up. The instructions on Panasonic's website explain it.

My first choice was the Olympus 12-40mm 2,8 but I couldn't afford it. Got the Panny 14-45mm. Its nice but not constant aperature. Will probably sell it when I save enough to get the Oly.

Ah yes, one person also recommended the Olympus one for me. It has hard stops for manual focus. If you get it you can let me know how it is.
Btw checked your vimeo channel and its nice to see that your background is camcorder experience as well.

I prefer primes myself. I recently ditched all zooms (except a kit zoom I keep on hand for live events) on my GH2, and converted over to Rokinon primes (16, 35, 85)

If youre serious about a single lens to cover most things, seriously consider the 14-140/3.5-5.6 . It may not be the fastest, but if you're shooting MMA under artificial light and rally under daylight, f5.6 should be adequate in those situations.

That was actually my first choice, because GH4 has a price package with the lens. But then I got suggested the other lenses. (Shopkeeper from the photo store said the 12-35mm is better lens, friend said Sigma is better etc..)

What lens you favour yourself the most, the 14-140?
