First in a series of shorts shot with HVX/M2

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the kind words. I'm glad most of you seem to have enjoyed episode one. We haven't officially launched the site yet, but we do have another episode up -- "Mr. Deity and The Really Big Favor." It's about as edgy as I ever plan to get, and some might find it a bit too much. But it's all in good fun.

We'll be shooting four more episodes this weekend, and are hoping for a December launch. In the meantime, feel free to check out episode two at http://mrdeity.com

You're definitely onto something here. Some of the funniest stuff I've ever come across on this site! Congrats and looking forward to the next episodes.
 
I really liked the "Hellfire/Damnation/Eternal torment" exchange in Episode 2. Funny stuff, I hope you come out with another soon.

my only criticism is that i did a theatrical piece just in this fashion two years ago at centar theatre in montreal :)

That's not a criticism. It just confirms that great (twisted?) minds think alike.
 
Also B... it was possibly in French... so that doesn't count! JK.


Loved it again. Especially that Jesus looks like such an actor... like he should be on the OC or something. Found that quite funny and loved the worker guy. Kind of reminded me of those worker things from Fraggle Rock.... I think that also bringing it out of the white limbo opens this up so much. Can't wait to see where else you go...


I'd love to see the Prodigal son there... all tatood' and drunk and ready to be saved but his clean cut brother is all pissed about that. Or such... whatever you do will be great!

This is our break-out weekend for Mr. Deity. We're shooting two episodes out in the middle of nowhere. Then, we're trying to shoot two more in Mr. Deity's Family room (he's a pretty modest guy, actually) and maybe one in his bedroom. And for the family room and bedroom shots, we're gonna go with your set-up for the white limbo. So, thanks for all the info.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we signed a deal with a major entertainment company regarding Mr. Deity. I can't say anything about the deal just yet, but make sure to check out Monday's (7/16/07) Los Angeles Times.
 
Although I am deeply religious, this short is just hilarious. Of course, it brings up theological questions that are satirized by the comedy, but it's put into perspective that makes it seem REALLY funny. I love it!

Great news about your deal. Mr. Diety rules and it's wonderful to see you guys getting some recognition for it.
