At the Digital Expo today there was the first hvx in Italy. The model shown was amazingly both Pal and NTSC depending what vendor you were asking. P2 download on my laptop was impossible due to lack of P2 in the stand. They were pushing like crazy the Cineporter and Firestore. Asked if they knew the macro blocking issue they said yes, that's why the Pal version is so late, they fixed everything.
Anyway, I've ordered one and let's see what happens.

I am really curious to hear more about your stay in rome,what were you able to see, pal and ntsc at the same time, sounds strange...!

Did they say something about the shipping for pal model...tell us more!!!

Really strange that they had no p2 cards, i got the theory that they have really few at the moment!/did u see any pictures...auguri a roma!

Does that mean that the NTSC versions will get "fixed".
It's almost as if they are aware of, but not adressing it.
I hope that line about firmware updates is true.
 
PAl pictures was only at Adcom stand, with Panasonic Monitor and LOOKS TERRIFIC! GREAT! Unbelievable! I've used all Cinegammas, Tested all possible noise, but prerelease Pal model doesn't know what Noise a Macro block noise are! Ntsc model shows noise in a Crt monitor! (not Macroblock)
Unfortunately only component out was used, so not P2 we can't see the damned Mxf files...I'm pretty sure that noise will pops out when is transferred in P2 media...I'm in contact with a seller in Naples to test noise! So I'll know all the truth very soon (three weeks max).

If the Pal camera works as I've seen, we've really a mini-varicam...!
