First grabs ever

Re: First grabs ever

faboolus! i really like the rain grab, and the shot of the leaves, a different perspective, nice. post some clips, eh?

Re: First grabs ever

I love the one of the leaves w/ the water on it. Great stuff. The one of the guy on the picnic bench is good too. if only it was a tad bit more focused maybe. good job.

Re: First grabs ever

Very nice grabs Luke. Beautiful and powerful. I am really anxious to see it all put together. Do you have some good music for it? That imagery is begging for some really good music. Something like the music from Amelie. (But don't steal or borrow.) Can't wait to see more.

Re: First grabs ever

P.K.Gillock, thanks for taking the time to look at my grabs. I did all the music in acid myself. I also have a friend who is an amazing pianist.

Re: First grabs ever

nice posts. Where exactly do they speak Hmong? And as for the shot with your girlfriend, i'm interested in how peoples brains work - if you had not been her boyfriend you think she would have let the director get her bra strap in the shot? - it's just something that jumped out in my head after you said she was your girlfiriend.

good job man, i would really like to see a clip.

Re: First grabs ever

The majority of the Hmong population in the US is primarily in California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. They originate from Thailand and Laos. My girlfriend moved to the US when she was only 4.
As for her bra strap, i don't think it would have made a difference if it was somone else directing. It was unintentional and she gets to involved to care, and ive seen it so many times i didn't take notice.

Re: First grabs ever

Lovely grabs! Would love to see some of it move, if you know what I mean... ;)

Re: First grabs ever

Hey, thought I'd add to everyone else's comments. The grabs look great. Nice compositions, good color/contrast/etc, nice DOF in those shots. Can't wait to see clips.
