One man band on everything, mostly handheld, all natural light. The wide shots with large movement (maybe a 8-9 shots?) are zhiyun crane gimbal. Drone is Mavic Pro.

Critical feedback is great as constructive dissection helps me fix it for next go around. Sound, story, camera settings/exposure, etc. - anything you see that could bring it a notch up in production value.

This one was created for a church, so bear that in mind if it's not your thing. They are doing great things missionly. Purpose of the film was to capture their heart and ethos for mission and serve as a trailer for the more in depth films, so it's intentionally a bit logistically sparse. My goals were to communicate that whatever your faith, it should translate into tangible action and positive world change, and that whatever separates us, we are all fellow humans in this together - and that our small contributions to setting injustices right in the world are worthwhile. I'd welcome feedback on that end too without offense - DMs are fine too if it's a more appropriate venue.
 
Tech specs for those interested:

Cameras: GH5, GH4, DJI Mavic Pro + AF100 (few 2013 archive shots - such as totems that had ropes on them and the alaskan celebration clips)

All 1080p, no 4K. Mavic set to 2.7k.

GH4: All India/Nepal footage (first 1.5 minutes, and interspersed throughout). CineD, -5/-5, internal 1080p 8-bit
GH5: Everything else (Leeming LUTs and/or FilmConvert depending on shot). Vlog, -5 Sharp, -3 NR, internal 1080p 10-bit
AF100: about 10 seconds worth, just to fill in some holes with archived footage from 2013, default scene setting
DJI Mavic Pro: all aerials on Mavic, 2.7K, CineD -1s all around I believe.

Lenses: native m43 voigtlander lens kit. + A few others as needed: Olympus 12mm and 75mm, Lumix 12-35, Laowa 7.5. Adapted Nikkor 85 for a couple shots.
Audio: Senn 8060 and MKH 50 routed through MixPre-D to GH5 audio unit for main narration. Some of the international soundbites filmed on older gear
Post: Edited in Premiere Pro. Leeming LUT, FilmConvert, Colorista III, Lumetri.
 
Great work. Thanks for sharing. Your shooting is very nice and the pace of editing really draws you in. I loved the high drone shots and the careful placement as well as not over using the drone footage for maximum impact. I am sure everybody loved the piece. As an outsider, it may be a bit long but I am not the intended audience.

The GH5 is really shining here. I am getting ready to give in a buy one as the footage is punching way above its weight class. Wish I could justify or be able to use a drone as they add so much as well.

I don't think you need any CC. Just keep on doing what you are doing!

From a HARD CORE Agnostic, that is an incredibly well put together and moving piece of work. Nothing negative to say about it. Great job. The VO is really good also.

Beautiful work....lol...my only note to you would be in the form of a question...why are you even looking at the EVA1.,.the results you're getting with the GH cameras are already completely there!....anyway...outstanding work in every way!...congratulations!

And more so, thanks for all of the input and help over the past year with numerous questions - I know for a fact all of you here have replied with great posts, insight, and advice - multiple times on multiple threads, and it really has informed the final piece and helped the process in so many ways. From gear help, to audio help, to nit-picky camera settings, to ND filters and IR filtering and stabilizer calibration, to you name it - I am humbled to be part of such knowledge input here that makes all of our craft better. Truly, I consider anything here to very much be a team effort. So thank you for that!

LOL, yeah, saying you shoot in natural light, want more DR and higher ISO, love IBIS, etc. can sound clueless out of context... (and maybe I am even in context! :2vrolijk_08:). But I will say the GH5 is an incredible tool for capturing cinematic docu content and I simply can't imagine feasibly doing something like this on a Varicam LT within the budgetary, logistical, and scheduling constraints given. Having a camera kit that I can carry on my person in entirety, all day, hike into rural areas, hop out of a car and shoot handheld on a whim, is amazing.

That is a HUGE compliment - thank you for that! I do think the EVA1 will play very well with some of the corporate work I'll be shooting next year and I really can see the IQ difference in the EVA1... I hope to maximize it! For docu-style work though I'll likely continue to use the GH5 setup as it's insanely versatile (and even in the corporate work, I assume - it's an amazing tool, especially for certain types of shots). Then again, I'm unreasonably obsessed with trying to squeeze more IQ out of things and I don't know if I'll be able to resist a return visit to Nepal without 14 stops of DR seen through Zeiss glass. But even with how lightweight the EVA1 is, the loss of IBIS + the extra size/weight of it may make 12 hour+/100+ degree days as a solo-op a difficult proposition. There is something to be said for a 2.5lbs total setup weight, and hopping out of a car already being stabilized in-body, that allows a natural attachment to the cinematography. That can sometimes lost on more complicated setups.
