First FS700 Kayaking Short

Nice work. A lot of great footage and an interesting subject. Just change staring to starring in the credits and your work here is done.

Thanks! And big thanks to Mark for finding my spelling error, I'll fix that ASAP!

I used Abel Cine's 5D picture profile with a cine1 curve instead of rec709, still working on dialing in my picture profiles as I'm not quite where I'd like to be.

For lens I used all Nikon with the novo flex adapter. 17-35 2.8, 50 1.4, 80-200 2.8, 300 f4, 2x teleconverter. I don't think anything I shot with the 50mm actually ended up in the video but I had it with me.

VERY very cool!! God, I love the FS700......I want one sooooo bad! It would be the ultimate tool for shooting sports car racing. Great shots!!

Little bump here. Couldn't watch it on my phone when it first came past.

Awesome! For those who clicked past. Watch it. This aint your average kayaking. I had no idea this type/style even existed.

Perfect use for slomo as a tool. You'd be able to do continuous 2k now with the fw upgrade and a bit of gear. Mind you, burn through some ssd's. Maybe they'll add a end trigger / half end trigger to the 2k raw in the future.

Nice! Really great slo-mo shots!

Since that work, did you come across some other good FS700 profiles that you could recommend? Say, day natural... night low-noise... etc. Please elaborate if you can.

Maybe they'll add a end trigger / half end trigger to the 2k raw in the future.

Since 2K is no longer buffered for the Output, even at 240fps, it does not seem possible to add end trigger there.... unless we also pre-set the length of the buffer as desired, I suppose?

4K 120fps is still buffered, and does have End Trigger in firmware 3.0

Wow, what a video and what a sport (that I didn't even know existed)- like a cross between kayaking and wakeboarding, minus the tow rope and plus serious rapids...

Perfect opportunity for slo mo- the roiling, boiling waves of water, and the rider's maneuvers, are incredible.

Do you remember what your average/target aperture was?

Really, really well done video- thanks for sharing (and I'll have to see what you've done since).
