Hey everybody,
I've been fortunate to be named one of the top 25 Semi-Finalists in the Ultimate Filmmaker Competition, put on by the Filmmaker's Alliance. IF I WIN, I would get to direct my script "What Would John Do" on a $500,000 budget with a guaranteed festival premiere. One of the five finalists will be selected by the public. There is some serious competition: tenured filmmakers with festival accolades, even Emmy nominated, and then there's me. Some might say I'm the underdog. I don't think I can refute that!

Anyone who shares the dream of making their first feature on a real budget, and even those who don't, know what a fantastic opportunity this is for a budding filmmaker. I would really appreciate your vote. Vote for the underdog, and if I win then we'll all co-write a Disney Channel Original Movie about it.

(I know the aspect ratio got messed on the videos... out of my hands!)

DVXuser is my go-to for help and has definitely played a major role in developing my skills. So thanks to everyone and anyone who has already helped me before here, and thank you in advance for those willing to support my campaign!

Sincerely,
Max Lanman

I just hope you didn't pay anything to enter the contest. Festival fees are acceptable, paying to enter a private contest is not.

Yep, I can almost guarantee you they won't have $200k in cash to fund a movie so they will make sure their buddy wins and keep the entry fee cash like a rigged online raffle.
