(EDIT) I CHANGED THE LINK TO THE FINAL CUT.

Hey guys, shot my second music video yesterday.

This was much bigger than the last one I did.

Weird thing was, I had an extreme due date (since the label is going to push it hard), so I shot yesterday, edited today (took about 8 hours), and have the first cut ready.

I was supposed to send it to New York tomorrow, but I tlaked to the investor and he said that we can hold on to it for a few days and make tweaks.

Tell me what ya think.

I think they'll be happy with it, it's professional but I think a story line would of been really good even if it had something to do with the schoo hallways etc... or more shots of the audience dancing and what not but overall good.

Nitpick: The Marshall amp int he bg is obviously not on. The orange light isn't on. What'd you use for all the camera movement? Seems as if the camera was moving, tilting, panning, going up, down, etc, pretty smoothly. Was it a crane? If so, which one?

I would like to know the same thing. Also, what camera did you shoot it on, ect. Very professional looking.

Nice vid Brandon. agree with everyone else.. "professional looking"

We should get together some time in Toronto and work on something. I'm about your age too.

by the way, did you shoot at Mowat in Scarborough? Cause that's the highschool I went to haha

Hey there,
Man this video looks great, my only observation is that you went a bit nutty with the crane. Even though the movements were cool, it got to be too much by the end of the video, but thats just my humble opinion, otherwise this video is spot on and looked great!!

yaso

We shot at Cardinal Newman.

We only looked at a couple of auditoriums, because this was such a rush job.

Thanks everyone for checkin out the video.

Just out of curiosity, what does everyone think of the 'fonzie' shot. Where it pulls way out, goes back in and he winks at the camera.

I actually remembered that and was kinda wondering how you did it, but I'm pretty sure I know now. Looked good.

I really liked the concept and execution of the video.

What kind of lighting did you use for the audience and the stage? Pars? I think that some back light on the band or some throw light on the background would have made them pop a little bit more.

Cool things coming out of CA.

Very nice! I loved the crane moves! I've only got a flimsy $300 jib, since it's all I can afford right now. That pull back from the lead singer to show the crowd, then right back up to his face was awesome!

The band ain't too bad, either.

The video is kind of cool. I think that if you do some color correction it could look way better. I would like to see less of the Jib and more shots on each member. But its just my opinion though. It doesn't look bad.
These guys are totally one of the christian punk bands that come out of nowhere aren't they?

Nice Jib shots. Decent storyline too. Would have like to hear the audience cheer at the end and maybe pan up to that real light you kept referrencing throughout the video. It looked like the first strike of the guitar from the lead singer was off. It seemed like I heard the sound a half a second before he struck the guitar. I may have to re watch it again to see for sure. Other than that good concept and good job.

There was one crane shot where the lead singers eyes followed the crane as it passed in front of him and I thought that was odd.

Looks nice Brandon, my only complaint is with the introduction of Amped. Personally, I think you should roll right into the start of Amped's song after the MC says "Amped with their version of We Three Kings" - rather than showing them setup the mic, the judges, etc... before the music starts.

"Now we have Amped with their version of We Three Kings" then BOOM the music starts.

nice work though... keep it up.

They're really not a bad sounding punk bad... it's just a shame to waste their talents on such a lame song.
