First Cut MV - ifocus HQ SD 35

Hi everyone here's a new MV that I'm currently working on. This is for a band name Currents, they're out of Gainesville, Florida. This is our second video together and just wanted to share. Now for the critics, this isn't any where close to being done (not even sure if we're going to keep most of what you see now). We're actually shooting the beginning and a few of the other parts this weekend so we will see what happens, and believe me you want to stick around for what I'm about to show very soon. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/images/smilies/Drogar-Love(DBG).gif

In that grab there, looks almost like interlacing on his lips or something lol :P

looks awesome -- were you using one of those on cam ring lights that someone did a DIY on?
 
I was just checking the clip to see if it uploaded right and I'm now wondering if it seems a little wash out, or too bright viewing it thru the internet? I think it's my quicktime player (in FCP it's much darker), please let me know if you're. :)

OH yea, the diy ring light is awesome and well worth the time it took me to build it! Thanks for the heads up, I must of missed that one.

Im watching it on a PC on some Samsung 710n's and doens't look washed out here at all.

I like the fog - what kind of fog machine machine did you use? a pro model, or something cheap? I've been thinking about picking up a cheap one (there are a lot of them available around halloween) but I'm not sure if ti would be a waste of money.

Yes I used the ifocus 35 hoya setup for most of the shots and the new ifocus HQ SD 35 for all of the shots with the guy in the SG. The hoya model is no longer availability, due to the smearing, CA, vignetting that it produced. As you can see in this clip the edge to edge sharpness has increased by another 20% - 35%, No vignetting at all, and the CA is pretty much gone.

Oh you'll see, I'm going to try and put it up as fast as I can. I expect to get a huge response out of this one!

Yes the I used a cheap fog machine from wal-mart and it's worth every penny! Most of what you see in the video is some fog, but mostly dust and dirt in the air from us kicking it up by walking around. That place was so dirty and old, I was sick for a few days after, but the video was worth it.

Cool. Great footage. Makes me want my adapter even more, it was scheduled for delivery yesterday, but we got some snow and I think UPS was running slow. Now I gotta wait till monday.

I can't wait till I see this top secret hush-hush thing you got going.

We're working on the release forms at the moment, are city is like Beverly Hills when it comes to trying anything out of the normal.


SNOW! I'm wanting to go snowboarding so bad this year I can taste it, didn't get to go last year. :(
 
Ok just got word, it's a go!! I'll be shooting most of it tomorrow, and hopefully posting something to share by the end of the week if not sooner. ;)
