This was one of three short interval shooting attempts to see what I could learn about adjusting the cam settings. This shot of blooming crocus was at 720/24p, 30-second interval for three hours. Shot in manual mode, manual focus, using Zebra and WFM to help determine correct exposure. Light changes complements of sun and drifting clouds. Processed using FCE.

Comments always welcome on how to improve.

Sorry, you do not have permission to watch this private video.

All I got was this message, you'll have to change the setting for us to see it.

Thanks,

Here's another.

This was a time lapse of the sun rising at Paradise, Mt. Rainier National Park. Paradise Inn in the foreground. Interval was one second for 90 minutes, camera on full auto. At the time, I didn't have a graduated ND or a polarizer filter, nor did I have an understanding of how to use the Zebras and WFM.

The video went by really fast, it looks like one frame every 30 seconds or every 1 minute. If it had been 1 frame per second, the video would have been 3 minutes and 45 seconds long after 90 minutes. Either way, it's cool...

I should have explained better. The original interval was one second for 90 minutes. I compressed the time frame down to six or seven seconds in iMovie from two plus minutes because the original time lapse was too long and kind of painful to watch.

My new 40 should be here on Monday and I have a questions regarding WB... I don't suppose that the 40 provides any means for presetting WB? For example, in the above clip, it would have been nice to be able to preset the camera to like 5600k to prevent the... yellow snow.

Sure no problem. The HMC40 provides 3200k and 5600k presets, ATW (auto white tracking), ATW Lock (to lock auto white tracking) and two channels (A and B) to set manual white balance.
