First AF100 shoot

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd post a video I put together from my first shoot with the AF100. The quality doesn't seem to be the best on this version, I think I went a little overboard with the compression but the uncompressed footage looks pretty classy. By no means am I as experienced as many of the shooters on this forum but I'd love to hear what people have to say about this (positive or negative... preferably constructive) and I'd love to get some feedback about anything I could do to make my footage better.

I'm coming from a Sony HVR-V1U, I've shot with the 7D and 5DmkII a bit but settled on the AF100 because of it's video camera setup, variable frame rates and it's ability to use a wide variety of lens. So far I'm really happy with my choice and excited about becoming more comfortable with this camera.

Nice video. What did you use for lens? Blacks are a little compressed for my taste but that's a judgement call. Well shot and edited.

I'm on a super tight budget at the moment and my lens leave a little to be desired. I used two Olympus kit lens from an E-510.

14-42 f3.5-5.6
40-150 f4-5.6

Very nicely put together short. It seems that you have taken a great effort to capture lots of material, various angles, camera motion, PoV, telephoto, etc. The post looks snicely stitched. The soundtrack is noticeably louder than the interview and voiceover, which distracts a little. Seems like you had fun with DoF and video transitions at the beginning... Seems that you could use a better variety of lenses, for more optical choices. I hoped to see something of a map to understand the magnitude and geolocation of the event better; feels like it could add value. I enjoyed watching it.

Thanks for the advice! I agree that the audio is not perfect... it's a weakness of mine that I'm trying to improve so it's good to have someone else point it out. I like the map idea, thanks for the suggestion.

nice video man...wow, seems like everybody has that pocket dolly i may need to order that asap. did you use the 3 foot or the 2 foot version?
