That quote by the dude from third eye blind might even apply more to your doc than their latest recording efforts ;)

Wow, I never thought I would give a damn about Hanson - and even more astonishing is that I was digging the song they were writing with Mathew Sweet. I was actually inspired to go over to Amazon and listen to their new album. Unfortunately, it sounded like overproduced top-40ish college kid music as opposed to the overproduced teeny-bopper music that made them famous.

They should just have you record them informally in the studio, that stuff sounded pretty good. Great work and congrats on the NYT write-up!

The weird thing I have learned about Hanson is that they have enormous respect in the industry, moreso than in the media and general public. Throughout the doc they meet up with lots of people you would never think would have anything to do with them. I actually met and did a video with Gus Van Sant thru them, you never know!

The test scores for the doc have been great even at USC and NYU, over 80% in the top 2 boxes. As far as the music, you might check out the acoustic stuff they did, it is pretty good and not over produced.
