firmware version 1.1 hack

Hello, I recently bought a gh1 with firmware version 1.1 and I have to upgade it to 1.32 firmware to use in ptools right? Because I couldn't find 1.1 firmware image to load into ptools.
There is a 1.3 firmware in panasonic site, but I'm afraid to use it thinking it could be 1.34 instead of hackable 1.32.
Any help is appreciated.

you may use ptool to create custom 1.32 and update, not need to do many iterations.
ptool will get only supported (1.32), if that will be 1.33 or 1.34 - ptool will not suggest patching possibility.
 
thanks for the answer but I'm not sure that I understand it fully.
I have 1.1 firmware in my camera, so if I load the official firmware on panasonic site to ptool and then load to my camere is it gonne work?
I think I need to have 3.2 on my camera to use ptool patches.
 
yes.
patches not incremental, so any prior to 1.32 versions may be directly upgraded to patched 1.32
 
you should not install the panasonic firmware direct into the gh1 cam.

download ptool and select the firmare file you downloaded from the panasonic webpage and then you have to hack this first.

in my case the firmware file is named GH1__132 and i don´t think if there´d be a newer firmare that can put into ptools...

so theres no danger to me trying to hack the file first. If this is an unhackable file you may wound be able to save a hack copy with ptools.


and only if this is working you put the hack file with the same name to the cam and click "play" button for installing the hacked body firmware.

If theres really a newer firware, i have the file that should fit.
 
echoing others, use ptools to patch v1.32 original firmware. make sure to tick version compare patch. you can if you want tick version increment and set to 0(not modified) or 1(v1.33) i suggest saving this file as is without any other changes as a base firmware to revert back to if needed for testing.

Your serial number is not correct!!!!

WE08xxxxxx is not a serial number for a GH1.

Perhaps it is WE0Bxxxxxx which would be February 2010.
