Hello,
I'm new here, so my apologies that my first post is of the "ranting" variety, however:
Today I received my new HVX200, along with a 16gb p2 card. I was aware of the requirement to upgrade the firmware so I exitedly got all the required bits together and went to the Panasonic website.
Having followed some quite opaque instructions it became clear that the only method of firmware upgrade is through an SD card. No problem I thought. I'll just check it's in the slot.
But of course the HVX doesn't come with an SD card included. Great. Well surely, since Panasonic knew the 16gb card was incompaitble with the hvx200, they'll have included one with the p2 card itself.....no.....bugger.
Why, when an SD card can be bought for less than the price of the elastoplast I have just used to medicate my frustrated knuckles, do Panasonic not include one? It's an essential accessory for goodness sake. They can keep the bloody arm strap, just give me what I need to operate the camera!
Bah. As my partner has just pointed out, the time between me opening a newly bought piece of technology and me raising tones of annoyed incredulity is increasingly brief.
Has anyone else encountered this very, very stupid problem?
