Firmware update?

Can't the firmware be updated using battery power? I'm trying and it asks me to connect a power supply. But in the firmware instructions it is made to look like it's better to connect the power supply but you can also do without it. I don't have the power supply here.

Is there anything significant for the camera body that affects performance after 1.15 besides the sound with 60p and 2.39 ration in 1.23? I have 1.15.

I saw a similar problem with the update using battery power. What I read was that it won't work via battery and it needs to be plugged in. Dunno about the other stuff... but I would love to know a little more as well.

I see. Does it have to be the original Panasonic power supply?

And I would like to ask again if there are any updates between 1.15 and the current firmware that improves the camera or is it only for lens compatibility? Besides the 60p with audio and 2.39 frame.

There have been two more updates after v1.15. Take a look at the release notes of version 1.16 and the release notes of version 1.17. Updating from v1.15 to v1.23 directly means that all the changes from v1.16 und v1.17 are included.

Well, if all there is between 1.15 and 1.23 is 1.16 and 1.17 I'm not missing anything. I don't have any of the lenses these firmwares are intended for and really don't need 60p with sound. So I guess I'm fine with 1.15 .
