Firmware update

I hadn't realized they updated the firmware. WOW. Totally fixed my hot pixel issue.

I just shot some test at 3200 - 4000 ISO, at the tail end of "magic hour"...no stuck/hot pixels.

Anybody else had success with the new firmware fixing their D7000?

I've still got a hot pixel. Any ISO. Even in the menu.
That's because it's on the LCD screen ;)

I ran the firmware fix twice and it made a huge difference with my D7000.

I recently bought a GoPro LCD bak and it has a big honking hot pixel on the LCD screen - I hate that!

There's a now a 1.02 firmware for D7000, released on 24th/25th April 2011 (depends which Nikon page you read).

Get it here (Europe), or here (US).

Not many of the fixes specified apply to video - in particular, there's no 25p or 30p movie recording, and we still have to cycle the shutter to change aperture with G lenses. Neither of which issues are a great surprise, I guess. The download links above have release notes. There's a long and fairly bad-tempered discussion thread at NikonRumors.
