Firmware since June...unlock?

Like everyone who doesn't currently own a GH1 but would like to, I'm wondering what is it about Pani's latest firmware that makes cracking it and installing the GH13 hack impossible. I know nothing about hacking/cracking software so I'm sure I missed something somewhere. Is there any hope that GH1's purchased after June, 2010 will be able to have the GH13 hack applied?

For that matter, might the GH2 be hackable?
 
Panasonic introduced a new set of codes to the firmware, and they did it in such a way that makes it pretty much impossible for hackers to crack.

I'm just going on from what I've gleaned from threads on this subject though, so I may be wrong in my theory. :-Happy(DBG):
 
Oh, OK. Got it. You can't even download the lastest firmware from them to even try to hack it. That clears that up. Well, after the Samsung NX-100 and GH2 come out towards the end of Sept. and if neither one is much better than the current hackable GH1, then I'll have to start scouring the world for a pre June 2010 GH1...gasp. That's really the only reason I've waited. After reading and finding out about the GH13 hack in June, I decided it was so close to Sept, that I should wait to see what the GH2 is going to be. Waiting just might cost me a hackable GH1. Time will tell.

You can find hackable GH1 bodies on Ebay. I did without much trouble. There are a couple for sale on there now.
 
From what I understand is Vitaliy CAN hack it....But no one has attempted to send him a GH1 with the new firmware and I also believe some compensation for raising of funds as well.
 
Vitaliy can't extract a firmware from a GH1 body, I don't think having a post-june GH1 would help him.
