Was wondering if anyone has installed the latest firmware and know what improvements 1.72 has

I installed the software and shot about an hour or so with it yesterday but didn't try anything with the VFR. I'm not saying that there is an issue with the firmware but I noticed that when I pressed the thumbnail button to take it out of playback mode the reaction time seemed like it was a little slow.

I will say that I was in a hurry and there may not be anything wrong but it seemed like the screen when blank for an awful long time before it changed back to the recording screen. I even pressed the button a few times so maybe I just didn't wait long enough. I'd be interested to see if anyone else had this problem after the upgrade. I don't want to alarm anyone and there may not be anything wrong but that just seemed strange to me. I was in too much of a hurry to take the time to test it again during the shoot and I deleted the files after I took them off the card so I'll have to record some stuff and try the thumbnail button again. I had also saved a few stills on that card while reviewing some footage so maybe that had something to do with it. That was the first time that I had ever captured some stills.

Actually after I got done typing that I remembered that I had my camera with me so I shot a minute or two on two different clips and went into the thumbnail mode and back out a few times. Everything is working fine. Like I said, I was really in a hurry during the shoot yesterday so I must have hit the button twice or more then likely leaned into the EVF and that's what made the screen blank out. Sorry, false alarm.

After I updated to 1.72 I now get A.SHTR after pressing "shutter". To change the speed I need to engage the jog to "shutter" and lock down the shutter speed with the jog. If I change the shutter speed from the default scene file setting, say from 1/48 to whatever, I can get back to the default scenes file setting of 1/48 but it's in A.SHTR. Then, I must then re-enter it using the jog and lock it down in jog. Leaving it on A.SHTR is then variable. Is anyone else finding this? I re-instelled 1/72 once to make sure it was not a "buggy" update, and it is still there. And, yes, I turned off A.SHTR in auto sw. This attribute may be new with 1.72 from my old original firmware which did not necessarily show the shutter speed on the LCD. That was a bit dangerous to be shooting and not see it the actual speed on screen. So, this is safer now but more cumbersome. it is possible this was changed in firmware to make sure it is onscreen always. Anyway now I see A.SHTR whenever pressing "shutter". Thoughts??

The only difference at all is that now it's telling you it's in A.SHTR. Previously, it would go into auto shutter without telling you; any time there was no shutter displayed, it was in auto shutter - and gave you no indication as to what shutter speed it had selected.. Now, it at least lets you know when it's in auto shutter, and tells you what shutter speed you're using.
