Are there any adapters/converters out there to convert the signal coming out of the FireWire cable into a Component Video signal? Would perfer to keep it under $500.
I don't think you would be able to get one, at least one for the DVX. If you do get one, it will be the same quality and color depth as the composite video, because the color sampling is degraded down to 4:1:1 when outputed via firewire (for direct-to-edit drives and the like). Even if you do get the cable, you're going to get the same quality as either composite video or from tape.
