Firewire Timcode Sync

Hiya,

I was wondering, what is the greatest cable length one can use for two DVX100B cameras to sync timecode?

For instance, could I (if i can find) a 20' firewire cable, or is that length going to cause too much of a delay that would throw off the sync?

I don't know if you have read this already or not, but here is the link anyway.

From my understanding you sync the cameras then you unhook them. As long as you don't power down the camera you wont lose the sync. You may end up a few frames off from camera to camera, but it gets you close enough that it is easy to edit and fix in post.
