Only those who have no idea what the CineSaddle really is. It's super durable. It's SUPER DURABLE! The cover, the fill, the accessories you get with it, it's all WAY BEYOND what any DIY'er can make on his own, PERIOD!

I've used mine as a seat cushion on a violently bouncing boat, it's gotten wet, it's be run over by my van, and it's still just like new. I'd love to see a DIY "bean bag" that stands up to the CineSaddle.
 
Agreed. Plus it includes all the hooks and stuff to use it as a car mount; I've gotten amazingly rock-solid footage from it mounted in all sorts of places on a car. Yes it's $300. So? It solves a problem, brilliantly and reliably, I never have to think about it again. Happy with mine!

what did you guys think of the adapter rig?

My pops is a machinist I may try and make some housing for the pieces. Something a little more substantial than the velcro.

Either way for me it was the solution to the weakest point of the camera. Now if they only came out with the 16gb or 32gb cards I'd be good to go. might even leave the firestore at home every once and a while.
