What to use thru the mojo composite or dna? is there a capture setting where you can use DNA for video and RCA for audio. i wanna use dna but i need composite for the rca abaility. i know it all ends up being firewire at the end cuz the mojo and video card are connect via fire but i dont wanna take the chance on losing quality by using composite for video.

DNA is the Mojo when in Xpress Pro. If you have analog sources, you need to go through the Mojo - RCA for audio and either composite, S-video, or component for analog video.

As far as quality, it's not much of a choice depending on what your sources are and how they are being captured unless. Digital wil be better if coming from digital sources.

dna composite?

dna composite?

i have the mojo and at first i used firewire from cam to mojo, but i recently added a audio mixer but in order to get the audio out of it i needed the rca capability. when capturing if i choose dna the firewire shoot both v/a into moj but i cant manipulate the audio. in order to that i need to choose rca but that option only comes with the svideo composite and so forth but not the dna. the dna dont give rca capablilities unless someone knows how to activiate the rca for the dna settings?

You can always do a two pass capture and AutoSync the clips based on the common timecode. DV fro picture, RCA for audio.

Capture Video first via FireWire
Log or use DV Scene extraction
Export clips in Statistics mode as an ALE file (bin export)
Reimport into bin and select all clips
Go to MODIFY and log clips as A only (1, 2, depoending on # of tracks)
Select all and batch digitize

Select all clips in the bin and select AUTOSYNC from BIN menu (use START TC)
bin will now contain subclips that are the combination of V and A and in sync.
