Can the firestore units be used with the HMC150?

I was wondering this too. The HMC150 doesn't have firewire, but it would be nice if there was a device that could capture HDMI or component out of the camera. Something with a capacity of 160-250GB. I know Aja makes the Ki-Pro but I don't have 4k for that.

You can use HDMI capture boxes with a computer for less than $500... but as far as being remote - you have to shell out the doe. There are a few options around $4000.

If you're going for shooting length, just offload to a portable drive like this one:

If you want to output for lower compression and higher quality, then you'll want a nanoFlash. Almost the price of the camera. Eek! But well worth it, from what I hear. Now if I could only find a rental house in my area that carried it . . .

32 GB cards gives you 199 minutes. Use at least class 6 is better for a 32 GB card. Mine is a class 10.

A standard firestore (not the nanoFlash) use firewire connections. This is why it can't be used with the HMC150.

Class-4 works. I'm using a 32GB Patriot class-4 with the HMC40. No problems at all.
