Firestore + Preview?

I will be buying an HVX 200 this week and a few accessories as well. One of the things I am buying is a 60gig Firestore. I've never used one before so I was wondering if you can preview what you shot using the camera's LCD or do you have to wait until you dump it onto your computer to watch your footage? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

wgzn is right, the 60 gig isn't compatible.

but if you're talking about the 100 gig firestore, which is compatible, then yes it will play back using the camera's LCD.

Pretty easy if you do have an fs100. After shooting :
1. switch to VCR Mode
2. After the thumbnails show up on your LCD screen, press the thumbnail button on top of hvx200. ( the thumbnails will disappear)
3. Press play on the firestore

Aren't there two Firestores for use with the HVX... the 100 GB and the 160 GB

From what I've heard, the 160 GB formats the drives into two partitions or something like that.

i'm quite happy with my 100 GB one though.

What mounting solutions are you using to hold the FS?

depends... on the jib I have a 14' FW from the camera to a mount I made in the center support. Most of my stuff is run and gun so either belt clip or velcro straps to the tri-pod or telepromter mount
