Firestore or P2 #2

Thanks for all the info on my first post. The actual use of my equipment will be doing event work but also movies. Starting a production company to handle weddings, local commercials, and general videography. This is just a means to an end to pay the bills and do shorts and feature length productions.

My thinking about the firestore was that it would provide enough record time in 720 to capture event situations. It would also provide a fair amount during production shoots.

I know you can playback things shot in slow motion, and view each take with the p2 cards, but is playback of clips as easy with the Firestore? I am the type who would review the clips and delete them to conserve space and keep from capturing useless clips.
Knowing this, Any opinions on whether i should go p2 or Firestore?

P2 cards are far easier in that respect, they offer complete integration with the camera -- you can navigate thumbnails, select them, and perform operations on them using the camera controls.

If you use a Firestore, some things are done on the camera, and others on the FS-100. You can view the video, but you can't hear the audio when reviewing clips on the FS-100.

It was just the pN modes that played back without audio, but I think the latest firmware has fixed that. I know that I was able to get it to play back with audio on a recent 24pN shoot, so unless the FS-100 I was using is an anomaly, the issue has been fixed.

Deleting clips is possible, but not that easy, because of the fact that long takes are split up into several different clips on the FS-100. They are only spanned together on import. You need to be very careful about what you delete.
