Firestore of P2? which one to get

I have been shooting with my HVX for a year now and I am looking to be able to shoot longer on HD
Just debating weather to go with the Firestore or 2 16gig P2 cards
its around the same price and but I can get a bunch more footage with the
Firestore.
I have just heard of some huge problems with it and love my P2 and I am looking for some advice on which way to go.

Personally, if you can make due with P2 I say do that. For me, the tethered firewire cable aspect scares me. Another recording device means just another thing that can go wrong. Once we have 32 and 64gig cards...the firestore will be dead.
 
Frankly, in my view, the p2 is the best overall. I really have grown not to completely trust any disk recording solution. I've heard too many bad stories. And I have even had issues with some myself.

You might also consider investing in a p2 store. That holds like 60 gigs, I think and allows you to easily dump in the field.

I cannot wait until the bigger cards come out and all of these issues vanish :)
 
I have a firestore, and I love it, its saved me many times, by not having to stop recording.
It is more setup, and clumsy, so be prepared for more work. and I would suggest either the extended battery, or what I'm doing is using the Tekkeon MP3400.
Check out this thread for my set up. (also I will be offering to upgrade the Firestore to be able to have swapable drives. so for arond $150 or so you can get an extra 100gigs.)
