Firestore FS-100: Convert from NTSC to PAL?

Hello everyone!

I own two Firestore FS-100 drives as NTSC models. One of them I'm selling here: www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=162300&highlight=firestore+fs-100, the other one I'd like to convert to the PAL version, since I live in Europe.

Does anyone know if I can do this conversion from NTSC to PAL myself (software, hardware, firmware flash, etc.?), or do I really have to send it to the Eurpean Focus Enhancements reseller and have them do it for a truly unhealthy price?

I'd appreciate any help you can offer! Thanks!
 
Bin there, done that.

You have to send it to Focus and they charge you an insane amount of money to change the firmware. I tried everything, but found no way around.

I think this practice is a major fail for Focus - at least they lost me as a customer for ever. Even if they would invite an egg laying wool-milk-pig.

I found 2 people who can convert Firestore to PAL version!
