i don't know if i was just talking to some monkey at b&h but he claimed to speak with someone from focus who told him they weren't shipping out any firestores until early to mid september. this is quite contrary to the august 5th date b&h gave me a month ago when i put in myorder. he also tried to convince me that any fs-100's already out are just beta. should i be cancelling my order and picking it up elsewhere or are there any chances of significant improvements come mid-septiembre?

I have two Firestore FS-100's with the extended batteries and the better firewire cable for sale if anyone needs them faster. Only a couple of hours has been used on them. And all the upgrade firmwares are on. We no longer need them for our projects.

You will have to contact someone from Panasonic about dealer allocation of FS-100's, but I can assure you that the FS-100 units that are shipping at present are not beta versions.

Hope that helps,

Matt

Wait, are FS-100's sold by Focus or by Panasonic?
