A 4 GB P2 card costs 600$. 600$ for 4 minutes recording time. So I'd rather spend three times the money to get 25 times the recording time. So, are there any bundles announced?

Lets say we are shooting a wedding since that seems to be the most demanding situation storage wise. We have one HVX200, 4 4gb P2 Cards, and a laptop. There is a cineamatographer and a runner. Now the camera can hold 2 P2 cards so when the first is full the runner takes it out and replaces it with an empty one, offloads the full one to the laptop and repeats the process ad infinitum.
Besides the incovenience of having an extra person running around is there any other problems with this scenario?
Thanks!

It recommends against using 80-minute tapes.steindj said:Barry, is the HVX as particular about 60-min. (maximum) tapes as the DVX is? Can you use 80-min. tapes in the HVX's transport or does Panny advise against that as it does with the DVX?
Could be done, I suppose, but it sounds awfully inconvenient; I'm sure a FireStore or CinePorter or just shooting on DV tape would both be preferable solutions. Having a runner/offloader during a live once-in-a-lifetime event like that seems to violate the nature of the K.I.S.S. directive. :thumbsup:obendega said:Ok so what would be the most inconvenient (or impossible) thing about this setup:

Holding a camera with a laptop strapped to your back would be heavy...but...I don't see why it wouldn't work.
