Does it matter what fire wire you use? My dad has this old one and I was wondering if it could hurt the camera in any way to use it. Is there like a specific brand that makes "the best" firewire or is fire wire just fire wire? Tim.
For the most part Firewire should be just firewire....it should be fine. Even if the cable is damaged, it's not going to damage your camera or computer so don't worry, just try it.
