i found the clip i mentioned, really gave me a good idea of the difference between sounds from the GH1 with built in mic, external mic recording to the GH1 and then a ZOOM H2 recording separately.
this is only an indoor test tho, outdoors id imagine is a whole different ball game.

yeah its a good test, the ZOOM seems to do a good job and i prefer the sound.
iam sure i read people on vimeo saying it might be different as in the test the mic is indoors and only a metre away.
ive got the H2 ZOOM and finally got the rest of my kit, iam not spending any more until i get out shooting more!

BTW, look up dualeyes its FREE at the moment and will sync your clips from the gh1 sound to the zoom sound, no more clapping! i run it on linux via virtualbox even.

great video, but it didn't really show where the zoom was mounted? it should be in the same spot as the other mics to compare.
