considering this is basically the dvxuser thing (follow some people around, cut it together, slap some music on it) i didn't realise there was a market for this sort of thing. i've done so many of these and then i get a call up and am asked to do one for money... got $50 AUD an hour which includes editing time and shooting.... is this normal???
on the second day of shooting i had to wear a nice shirt... as opposed to my usual get up of torn t-shirt and holly jeans. A guy came up to me, obviously seeing i had a nice camera and shirt combo, and asked if i do this sort of thing all round australia and that he was doing a trade show in a few months... i blew it of course by saying this was my first gig of the type. then he walked off quite suddenly.
but anyway. there is a market out there for event videographers. i just have to work out how to get more gigs... maybe i need a website or a business card or something...
i tried to edit it with some sort of narrative. i hope you guys can see it. it's already done and handed in and signed off by the client but any suggestions?
