Hi there!

Here is a still of a video I've found, I'd like to reach the same color caracteristics with my dvx. Does someone can help me to find the parameters I've to play with, to get a similar effect ? Thank you !!

I don't know what you're editing with but you can bring it into Final Cut (or most any program with a vectorscope / waveform) and look at it there. Drag it into a timeline and scale it so it fills the frame. You'll be able to see all the image characteristics. Most importantly, you can look at the color without being 'tricked' by your eyes.

I've used this approach (with a real vector / wave) to tweak several looks.

This particular frame-grab is tricky. The blacks look clean but there's that green spill on the brick wall.. Definitely a high contrast and some highlights are blown-out. Hard to determine correct flesh tone with the sides of their faces maxed out like that. Hope this helps.

Granted - it's hard to see anything on this jpeg but the info's in there. Just didn't want to make the file too big. You get the idea.....
