Can anyone tell me if there are any authorized dealers that have a monthly payment plan or something along those lines for the DVX-100a camcorder?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but that search button is waaaaay to slow. Thanks guys :)

Re: Financing a DVX

you don't have a DVX? Well, I guess your not cool anymore. You can't kick it anymore with us. Kidding.. man. :)

Have you googled it? My advice, start saving your money right now. Who knows, by then a new HD DVX 24 cam might come out. Start saving buddy....

Ahaah, I just notice the family guy quote... Family Guy rocks!!

Re: Financing a DVX

If you have good credit and a job you should be able to lease the camera from any half decent retailer. Here in Toronto, Canada atleast, all stores that carry the DVX have lease programs. The buy back option at the end of the lease term is usually a really small amount in the tens of dollars. you should check that out as an option.

Re: Financing a DVX

Buy a used one for $2250-2500 on ebay. If you have a job you should be able to save that money in a few months. Mow lawns if you have to. I don't ever suggest using credit.

good luck!

Re: Financing a DVX

No matter what I'll be able to get it in March. I'm taking out a few thousand extra on a student loan. Guess I'll just pay off a new G5 monthly instead. I'm just an impatient bastard :D

Oh well, guess I'll just have to entertain myself on these boards for a little while longer 8)

Re: Financing a DVX

I financed a lunch 14 months ago, that $4 sandwich in the end cost me $262.50, but I was able to pay a little over time so it must of been worth it. and yes they are an authorized dealer. There is some deal with manufacturers and lowest advertised prices. everything I have ever bought from them has been far below any other advertised listing and they will usually price match other physical retailers (not websites)
But then again I live and work like 4 minutes away

LMAO

There is a reason I still don't have a credit card, but then, I'm not building any credit, so I'll have to bite sometime.

Word!

Trooper, we have a company we do financing with, but they generally only finance local folks in LA. :(  Have you tried looking for a local finance company in your area that will take you on.  Sometimes it's not just a credit score... ;)  Whenever you are ready for some gear, please shoot me an email at rush@evsonline.com, and I would be happy to bid for your business. ;D
