Finalizing a Feature - Wrangling hard drives

I'm about 2/3 done with a 90 minute indie. I've been building different movie segments/shoots as individual projects, spread across several drives. So I have like "The camping trip" as a project, "Debbie's apartment" as another project etc. As I near the end of the production, I need to gather all this to one timeline. How would you do this? Hook all the drives together and open up all sequences at the same time and drag to a new master sequence? What's the best way to do this without taxing the computer so much that it slows me down? I know I should have planned better before beginning the edit but now, it is what it is.

Then consolidate.

or;

Consolidate (media manage) each sequence on each drive and then move consolidated elements to one drive.

It's going to be a slow process no matter how you slice it. :(
Make sure to check that you're not deleting anything!

I usually don't compile reels until after picture is locked and the final audio mixes are back (I'll put each reel through audio post individually). Once that's done, you can make a copy of each sequence and delete the original audio, replacing it with the final mix. Then you can easily make a compilation. You can also export your final sequences (video only) and build those exports into a new, final sequence with the mixed audio.
