Oh man. Where do I start. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Like really did. It's my type of film. Odd, unique, and original. Extremely well shot, loved the lighting, looked pro. And the actual dialouge was all throughout really good.

As for the music. This is the only part where I had mix feelings. Sometimes I really digged it, other times it got in the way. But Overall it was good.

Thumbs up man! By the way did you submit this to a festival or something?

Thanks a lot for your reply !!! It's always encouraging to have good review ! I'm trying to submit the movie to festival essentially in France, where I live. But it appears that the movie is very difficult to sell and to show to festival because it's not really a "genre" film, not an easy movie enough to categorize !
It's not always easy to try something different (in France I mean), I wanted to make a serious action movie with drama and special effect, with something a little cerebral into it. The result may be special but that's what shorts movies are for.
Thanks again for your patience and curiosity to watch a 10mn movie in french language !

U really enjoyed this as well, very nicely presented, looked good, decent sound, story was engaging and acting strong.

I did get a little confused about how the younger guy, and older guy tied into each other? Was he a younger version of the older guy? I couldnt figure out the significance.

Either way, excellent piece.

I say do what your best at. Ive seen a couple of you flicks in vimeo, and your good at this type of film. Never know where it takes you. I don't know, action movies don't tend to go well in festivals, unless it's a specific festival. That and the budget really depends on the overall quality of the action flick. Mostly I tend to not enjoy low budget action flicks, because they try to pretend to be something they can't be. Although you do have a lot of talent, perhaps you can make one with a bit of drama, and succeed. Hopefully you have enough of a budget for the SFX.

Yes absolutely. He's the younger version ! I didn't want to explain it in a more explicit way. Because when you really start to think about "who's this young guy ?" well, it's the only explanation that should comes naturally to mind.
So why explain it ? I think the choice of what you decide to explain or not is very important to keep the movie interesting all along. I've always enjoyed movies that doesn't try to explain everything.
Thank you for your comment !

Yes it's true ! If I can't have a decent budget to make things look good, I prefer not to do it or find another idea. A lot of people think that CGI is going to save everything but if actor, costume, set and everything don't look right, it's eventually always looks cheap & amateurish in a bad way.

In general I liked it also.

I also hear you payed some attention to the sound, like leaving the sound of the scenes during the voice over...

The VO is also very nice done. It's understandable (I speak French too).

And I like that "death" has "a sound" also (the cape).

Nice vfx also....if it is ment to show that it's not the people "dying" but rather "what they say" is "dying" ? (hard to explain...)

I love to play with sound ! The actress who play "Death" is also doing the voice. You can see her real face and hear her real voice at the end of the movie, she also plays the nurse.
It was a strange experiment for her to play a part where we can't see her face and don't hear her real voice too ! But at first it wasn't suppose to have a sound effect on the voice.
For some reason it sound and feel wrong, maybe too human. Then we start to distort her voice and find that "death" tone which seems instantly right.

Concerning the people dying, it's true that they don't really die, in a way the main character just erase from his mind the people that might have hurt him in his life. That's why they just disappear this way and don't die with impact and blood everywhere.

I enjoyed this short quite a bit, I thought it was thought provoking and that is always a good thing. I've decided to feature it on my blog as the Short Film of the Week.

You join some talented ranks from indie world legends to the man himself Martin Scorcese as those who have been featured here.

Feel free to jot any comments, notes etc.. about the making of your project.

You can view where it is being featured here.

I enjoyed it also! I think that apart from acting and vfx the set design/locations are just great. It really adds value to it!

Thank you hjrt ! We had a real hard time to find simple location that fit the story. The different places has to be abstract and familiar at the same time.
Did you notice, at the end of the movie as the main character gets close to death, there's no more real places. Only a dark sky and a big empty office...
