Final Cut Studio 3 PDF Manuals?

Anyone found the PDF manuals yet?

The new suite uses the same help system as the one for iTunes, Mail, etc. The problem is it's slow to load the content, you can't bookmark it, and it doesn't show up as a separate app in the Dock which means you can't simply cmd+tab between help and whatever app you are currently using.

I haven't found anything on Apple's site yet.

Well, I searched the usual locations for manuals and didn't find anything other than the new HTML based system. So at the very least you can use a regular browser instead of using the Mac Help viewer.

For those interested, the html manual is located in Final Cut Pro.app (right click, Show Package Contents. Then navigate to Contents > Resources > English.lproj > finalcutpro_help > index.html.

Apple has posted the PDF user manuals for the Final Cut Studio apps, here:

Select the product from the list and then click the "View as PDF" link available below each manual title.

I take it that file can be saved as a pdf?

Yes. When you open the PDF just hit APPLE-S. Or right-click on the link and select DOWNLOAD LINKED FILE.
