How quickly FCP 7 translates to ProRes LT vs ProRes 422 ------- did I miss it ?
I'm transcoding on an 8 core with 16GB RAM using internal SATA drives (not raid) and I'm getting about 70%-80% real time - i.e. if I am importing 50 minutes of footage it's taking 35-40 minutes to import and transcode with FCP6 using ProRes 422.
So, how much time would I gain by upgrading to FCP7, using ProRes LT, and can some one try to quantify the quality loss?
