Final Cut ingested P2 media not playing with quicktime pro????

Ok so I shot some footage, 720 24 PN a few years ago and brought the files in through log and transfer. Client just asked for the footage again the other day so I gave them all the quicktime files. They couldn't view them in quicktime, so I told them to buy quicktime pro. They did, they can hear audio but not see any video. What else do they need to get??

You need FCP installed the view DVCPro HD footage. There are some plugins you can buy but I have not seen a free way. That does not mean it does not exist, I just have not seens it. Search DVCPro HD codec and/or wait for some of the SuperUsers here to chime in.

As indicated, the DVCProHD codec is supplied only by the FCP install, not through the QT Pro player.

Well...looks like a batch covert to h.264 is in order. Thanks guys.
